Olmecs
Olmecs
OLMECS - This coffee collection dedicated to the most ancient civilizations in the Americas - A compilation of Mexican and Congolese coffees roasted by some of the finest Black Owned roasters in the industry. Enjoy flavor notes from two continents of citrusy, mango, and dark chocolate. Olmec means "rubber people" in Nahuatl, the Aztec language. It was the Aztec name for the people who once lived in this area and extracted latex from rubber trees. The word "Olmec" also refers to the rubber balls used for the ancient ball game of Olmec creation. According to archeologists, the "Olmecs" were Africans no different from Africans found in the Mende regions of West Africa. They practiced religion and astronomical sciences identical to those practiced by Africans in Mali and Nigeria today. The Olmecs studied the Venus Complex in astronomy. Sip and savor these extraordinary coffees.
THREE KEYS COFFEE CONGO SQUARE -This coffee hails from the country that inspired the name for this storied Square. Grown in majestic South Kivu in the Great Lakes Region of the Democratic Republic of Congo, this coffee contains bright and jubilant notes, with fruity lemon and orange citrus flavors as well as deep chocolate aromas. Quite fitting when you imagine the vibrancy of the square with its Afro-Caribbean sounds of brass, the rhythms of the Bamboula, and the permeating (albeit fleeting) feeling of freedom and transcendence from those who congregated there. Flavor Notes - Lemon, Orange, Dark Chocolate Roast – Medium
CAMPFIRE COFFEE CO. “SUMMER CAMP” - Fairtrade organic Mexican Chiapas roasted with love. Campfire Coffee Co.'s first roasted batch during “Snowmageddon” of 2018 and they have been roasting it since. Working a little magic with the open flame makes this a little different than traditionally roasted Chiapas you may have tried. Flavor Notes – Bright, citrusy, balanced Roast- Campfire
